ABOUT
Bas Andries is a cinematographer.
He was born and raised in the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and at young age he was drawn to film inspired by TV series such as “Amazing Stories”.

Discovering the key role of light in the storytelling process he initially landed a job in a lighting rental company.

Bas has a BFA in cinematography from the Amsterdam film academy ('00-'04) and has a good experience from many crew positions since working his way up through the years in the light and camera departments.

Earning a reputation as a fun and focussed person to work with but most of all because of his ability to sensitively capture scenes using light led to assignments as director of photography.

Bas has a dept of knowledge, creativity, experience and a sensitivity that he brings to every directors vision.
